When your current Senior Pass is about to expire we will send you a new pass automatically. If your new pass renewal hasn’t arrived 4 weeks before your current pass expires, please email passes@travelsouthyorkshire.com or call 01709 515151.

Please note: if you are a parent applying for your child’s Barnsley MiCard, you must apply in your child’s name. You will need to use (or set up) a different email address to create a new My TSY account in your child’s name to apply.
If you are aged 5 to 18 and live in Barnsley, you can get a Barnsley MiCard Travel pass.
The Barnsley MiCard Travel pass entitles the pass holders to travel for free on bus for journeys that are wholly within the Barnsley Local Authority area or journeys that start or end in the Barnsley Local Authority area and where the journey is wholly within South Yorkshire. You must live in the Barnsley Local Authority area to be eligible.
You will need to provide a passport style photo and proof of your age, this could be a copy of:
- Your birth certificate
- Passport
- NHS medical card or prescription
- Any other official letter that states your date of birth
- If you have a Passport we can check your proof of age instantly online
If you’re under the age of 18 and live in Barnsley you can get a Barnsley MiCard.
- Your first issued pass is free. Replacement passes will be charged at £7.
- Free bus travel for all routes that start or end in the Barnsley Local Authority area (within South Yorkshire only)
- Valid until 31st July of the school year in which you turn 18 (or up to the day before your 18th birthday if you were born in August)
- You must live in Barnsley and your household must pay council tax to Barnsley council.
