The English National Concession Travel Scheme (ENCTS) entitles senior citizens to free off peak travel on buses across England (plus additional concessions in South Yorkshire).

Pass protection - Protect your pass for just £5.00. This will allow you to replace your pass free of charge should you lose it during the time it is valid. Without Pass Protection, you will be charged £7.00 for a replacement if you lose your pass.
When your application reaches your basket page don't remove the pass, just replace with the displayed related product 'ENCTS Senior Citizen + Pass Protection'.
Senior Pass (ENCTS) holders can travel free from 0930 to 2300 on weekdays, all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays:
- on local bus services* and trams within South Yorkshire
- in all other parts of England your pass entitles you to travel free on local bus services*
*Local bus services do not include booked excursions and long distance coach travel such as that provided by National Express or Megabus. They may also exclude some special services such as temporary shuttle bus. - Older persons concessionary pass holders are able to additionally travel on trains within South Yorkshire for a half fare (single or day return journeys) between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and at any time at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
In all other parts of England, South Yorkshire passes can be used for free travel on bus services between 0930 and 2300 weekdays and all day weekends and Bank Holidays.

You will need to provide proof of your age and will need to provide a passport size photograph as this pass requires a photocard.
If you live outside South Yorkshire, you need to apply to the local authority that covers your usual place of residence.
